How do followers work? Followers are earned based on the quality of your photographs. Higher scoring photos earn more followers. Your total follower count determines which biomes and cats you can access.

Biomes

How many biomes are there? There are 9 distinct biomes: Cafe, Autumn, Field of Dandelions, Meadow, Mountain, Night, Festival, Eastern Garden, and Forest.

How do I unlock new biomes? Each biome has a follower threshold. Reach the required follower count to unlock access. Cafe is available from the start at 0 followers.

What are the biome unlock requirements?

• Cafe: Starting area (0 followers)
• Autumn: ~1,500 followers
• Field of Dandelions: ~2,000 followers
• Meadow: ~3,000 followers
• Mountain: ~6,000 followers
• Night: ~8,000 followers
• Festival: ~10,000 followers
• Eastern Garden: ~12,000 followers
• Forest: ~15,000 followers

Does each biome have different photography conditions? Yes. Each biome has unique lighting, weather, and environmental conditions. These affect both the types of cats that appear and how photography scoring works.

Photography

How does photography scoring work? The scoring system evaluates multiple factors including composition, subject placement, timing, and ambient conditions. Each biome has specific conditions that can multiply your score.

What are ambient bonuses? Ambient bonuses are multipliers that activate when you meet specific conditions in a biome. For example, Meadow rewards patience, while Mountain benefits from dramatic weather.

Can I improve my camera? Camera upgrades are available as you progress. Better equipment can help you capture higher quality photographs.

Does time of day affect photography? Yes. Lighting changes throughout the day in each biome. Golden hour, midday, and night all produce different results.

Cats

Are there different types of cats? Yes. Cats are found across all biomes with varying behaviors and preferences. Some cats are exclusive to specific biomes.

Do cats have costumes? Yes. Each cat has 6 costume slots that can be customized in New Game Plus mode.

Are there nocturnal cats? Yes. Several cats only appear in the Night biome and cannot be found during day hours in other biomes.

What is NG+ mode? New Game Plus allows you to replay the game with all costume slots unlocked from the start. Your follower count resets but you retain costume customization options.
