How the tree is structured
The tree is divided into three tiers:
Tier 1 — foundational upgrades available from the start. These are relatively cheap and include Film Capacity, Camera Quality, and Follower Gain. Every viable build starts here.
Tier 2 — mid-tier nodes that branch into specific playstyles. These include Biome Bonuses, Costume Efficiency, Token Drop Rate, and Advanced Camera modes. Most players will fill Tier 1 before investing heavily in Tier 2.
Tier 3 — expensive late-game nodes. These include multipliers and unlockables such as extra costume slots, rare-cat attraction bonuses, and global payout multipliers. These cost thousands of tokens and are typically only reachable in the final hours of a playthrough.
Key nodes for every build
Regardless of your playstyle, these nodes should form the backbone of your build:
Film Capacity (Tier 1) — increases the number of photos you can take per session. More shots means more chances to capture a great pose. This is the single best quality-of-life upgrade in the early game.
Camera Quality (Tier 1) — raises the baseline quality of every photo you take. This permanently improves your minimum payout and compounds with every other bonus in the tree.
Follower Gain (Tier 1) — a percentage bonus to followers earned per likes payout. This is the key multiplier for long-term progression.
Biome-specific nodes
Once you have the core three, biome-specific nodes become the most efficient use of tokens. Each biome has its own bonus branch. These nodes give multiplicative bonuses to likes earned specifically within that biome. If you spend most of your time in one biome, maxing its branch is worthwhile.
